She and her husband Tim are remodelling their heritage home that dates back to the 1800s and are doing their best to maintain its historical features. By David Lea OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF Citizens for Clean Air (C4CA) President Doug MacKenzie announced Wednesday that he will step down as leader of the promi- nent residents association so he may participate in Octobers munic- ipal election. Were keeping as many of the original pine beams as we possibly can, actually they are really holding the house up, said Susie. Our contractor Peter Marit is really working hard to make sure this project stays as historically intact as it possibly can while still turning it into a house that works properly. Susie said that when complete nearly every room in the house will have one of the historical pine beams, apparently hand crafted from See Heritage page 3 C4CA president resigns to run in Ward 6 See Mackenzie page 3
