Oakville resident Rob Zamuner and former Milton resident Steve Webb are embarking on a 650-mile bicy- cle ride from Long Island, N.Y. to Peterborough begin- ning tomorrow (Saturday). Their route will take them through Oakville next Friday. Zamuner played 798 games during his NHL career, finishing with 139 goals and 172 assists. He also played for Canada in the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. Webb played 321 games in the NHL, most of them with the New York Islanders. He racked up 532 penal- ty minutes during his career. Joined by Webbs two cousins and TSN anchor Dan OToole, the former NHLers will be raising money for both Alzheimers research and Webbs foundation that offers scholarships to kids.
