HT, Loyola in junior football final today The Halton junior boys Division 2 foot- ball championship and bragging rights as the top junior gridiron team in Oakville were both on the line today (Friday) in Hamilton as the Holy Trinity Titans faced the Loyola Hawks. The two teams were scheduled to kick off their title game at 11:30 a.m. at McMaster Universitys Ron Joyce Stadium. Trinity and Loyola both finished 3-3 dur- ing the regular season. The Titans beat Abbey Park 28-0 and Bishop Reding 31-14 in the playoffs, while the Hawks took out T.A. Blakelock 41-0 and Notre Dame 49-5. Minor atoms earn silver in Motown After outscoring their opposition 14-3 in round-robin play, the Oakville minor atom AE Rangers went on to win silver at the recent Motown Cup hockey tourna- ment in Detroit. Oakville was edged 3-2 by the Allan Park Huskies in the championship game as the Huskies scored the winner in the dying minutes of the third period. The Rusty Blades, a team of Blades alum- ni, will take on the Oakville Blaze, a squad of Oakville Fire Department members, tomorrow (Saturday) at 7:30 p.m. One dollar from every ticket sold for the game will be donated to the Oakville Fire Departments Fill Your Boots campaign. The fire department will have a fire truck parked outside the arena that kids of all ages can climb aboard. A family skate will also be held between the first and second period. Members of this years Oakville Blades squad will be on hand to sign autographs and chat with fans during the event. Tickets for the alumni game can be pur- chased tonight (Friday) at the Blades home game against the Brampton Capitals, or tomorrow at the door.
