It is a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your child; singing, playing, read- ing and creating some wonderful winter crafts. At Oakville Public Library, our winter programs feature themes and stories that involve children and their parents/caregivers mak- ing it fun for the whole family. These special one-class ses- sions are great for busy families who cannot commit to the week- ly programs, but still want to par- ticipate and enjoy some winter fun in the library together with their child. You can decide which of the library Christmas special pro- grams your child would enjoy and all cost $5. The following Christmas spe- cial programs are available in December and still have a few spots left. Registration is necessary so be sure to sign up online through the iris tab at www.oakville.ca. You can simply enter the pro- gram you wish to sign up for in the search tab. Froggy Gets Dressed Silly Froggy wakes up in the middle of winter and wants to play in the snow, but remembering all of those winter layers can be hard. Program includes stories, games, songs and a Froggy craft. Available at the Glen Abbey, Iroquois Ridge, and Central branches for children aged one to three years. Santa Science Explore the science of Christmas with fun experiments and crafts. Available at the Central, Glen Abbey and Iroquois Ridge branches for chil- dren aged three to five years. Santa Surprises Ho! Ho! Ho! Weve got a sackful of stories, songs, music, rhymes and crafts, all about jolly St. Nick. Available at the Central Branch for children aged two-and-a-half to five years. Reindeer Antics Join in the Reindeer Fun with stories, rhymes, songs and craft activities. Available at the Central, White Oaks, Glen Abbey, Iroquois Ridge and Woodside branches for chil- dren aged two-and-a-half to five years.
