- Photo of Downtown Oakville circa 1962 when Colborne Street (renamed Lakeshore Road in 1964) was a hotspot for local businesses. This photo was taken at the intersection of what is presently known as Lakeshore Road and Thomas St. This building is now the home to The Butchery and Seafood shop and Cobs Bread. Originally featured in The Hamilton Spectator, this image can also be found in the printed collection by Gary Evans titled The Prints of Oakville: A photographic journey back in time.
