- This image of Colborne Street (renamed Lakeshore Road in 1965) demonstrates the road's reputation as a hotspot for local businesses. These buildings are now the homes to Murron's Cabinetree and Swiss Interiors, located between the intersections of Lakeshore and George St and Lakeshore and Dunn St. This photograph can also be found in the image collection by Gary Evans titled The Prints of Oakville: a photographic journey back in time.
