There is something for everyone in this sport. Although commonly considered an individual sport, figure skating also includes team programs and is ideal for families to participate in together. Last year the club intro- duced family lessons where parents learned along with their children. The sessions were so popular they will be offered again this season. The adult program is expanding to offer daytime classes geared to skat- ers who want to hone skills that might have been developed many years ago. Skating is a skill that once learned can be a recreation or a sport well into adulthood. The club offers lessons at all levels up to competitive team and individual programs with highly skilled coaches with Olympic experience. Learn-to-skate programs begin a f t e r Thanksgiving and run for 10 weeks and repeat in the New Year.
