Oakville Soccer Clubs under-16 A boys team recently repeated as champions at the Score Showcase Soccer Tournament in Greensboro, North Carolina. Oakville posted three wins and a draw to reach the final, where it used a simple but effective possession style to down Charlotte United 3-1. Members of the Oakville squad are Luke Sewell, Draven Stokes, Junior Roserie, A.J. OSC team repeats in North Carolina SHOWCASE SPECIALISTS: The Oakville Soccer Club's under-16 A boys' squad won the recent Score Showcase Soccer Tournament in North Carolina, the second straight year the team has won the tournament. JOHN BUTLER / SPECIAL TO THE OAKVILLE BEAVER Bronte Harbour Yacht Club members Sam Thompson and Billy Fuse won the Canadian National Club 420 Association Championship recently at Sturgeon Lake Sailing Club. Thompson, a 16-year-old Oakville Trafalgar student, and Fuse, a 15-year-old student at St. Thomas Aquinas, beat out teams from the U.S. and Canada to claim the title in their Club 420 dinghy. Races were held over three days with points awarded for placement.
