It will celebrate with a giant party and everyone is invited. For information about the celebra- tion or the church, contact 905-257- 3987 or bklinck@thesanctuary.ca. The Sanctuary began, according to executive pastor Brad Klinck, when three families (two from Canada and one from U.S.) left their homes, jobs and families to move to Oakville. Then, they established a church after meeting others in the community. "We are a church that values and prioritizes making significant contri- butions to our community," said Klinck. The Sanctuary's involvement in Oakville started with a climbing wall at the former Oakville Waterfront Festival. It progressed to looking after the children's area at the festival and later at the Oak Park Fall Fair. It helped those in need locally by hosting multi-church food drives for the local food banks, running reading programs, camps, and community barbecues in social housing areas, working alongside other non-profits such as Kerr Street Ministries, the United Way of Oakville and the Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre. It also began building communities of faith in surrounding areas. "From this Oakville-based church has come one in Milton, Burlington, Kerr Village, two in Mississauga, Brampton, Pickering and North York" said Klinck.
