31 · Wednesday, October 12, 2011 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.oakvillebeaver.com JANICE SILVER June 8th 1955 October 5th 2011 A stomach pain in July became an unstoppable Angiosarcoma cancer. To say at the young age of 56, and 34 years of us being together, that this was far too soon is an understatement. To say that Janice was vibrant and vivacious, that we all loved her so dearly and will miss her bright smile and laughter, her wisdom and selessness, her energy and caring for us, and all of you and so many others, and especially her love, is an understatement. Janice's wonderfully warm character, friendliness and spirit of generosity made her great friendships wherever she lived Cleveland, Miami, Orlando, England, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and for the past 22 years in Oakville. Her smile and sense of fun brightened each day for us all. She was the Promoons Manager for the North Shore News in Vancouver for 7 years, organizing their promoons including the annual Sailing Race for over 70 yachts. Aer starng our family and moving to Oakville, Janice did much volunteer work - for the Darling Home for Kids; Kids Fest; the St. Vincent Group from St. Andrew's Church; the St. Felix Centre in Toronto for seven years; the St. Vincent School "Ladies Night Out" fundraisers, the Oakville Picnic in the Park; and the St. Andrews Christmas House Tour. She was a very acve parent volunteer in the Catholic Parent Teachers Associaon at St. Vincent's School and St. Thomas Aquinas S.S., and was acve in St. James Parish for over 20 years. She loved to travel extensively; learnt to ride a motorbike; and proudly became a Canadian cizen. She was the best person wife, mother, sister and friend - anyone could ever hope to cherish. Her love, her caring, encouragement and support, and her coaching and teaching us to be the best, will always be with us. We will miss her forever. We love her dearly. She will sll be with us, never forgoen, always loved.
