The local baseball organization recently announced it will expand its house league next season to accommodate players ages 17-20. The new age division will be known as Big League. "We want to provide the youth of Oakville with the opportunity to continue playing baseball in both a fun and competitive environment for a few more years," said OLL president John Sweeney, who expects Big League to feature four house league teams next season. Big League will be slightly different from other OLL house league programs. There will be minor rule modifications, minimal practice times, one night a week for all games and a slightly shorter season. OLL will continue to offer a Big League all-star program as well.
