Atom AAA Rangers earn Super Series championship The Oakville atom AAA Rangers beat a couple highly-ranked teams on the way to winning the championship at the recent Super Series AAA 2001 tournament in Buffalo. Oakville went 6-0 at the competition, including 6-3 and 5-4 wins over the South Shore Kings (third-ranked team in the U.S.) and a 5-4 victory over the London Jr. Knights g (second-ranked ( team in Ontario). The 5-4 win over South Shore, which came in the title game, required a shootout. Liam Richardson notched the shootout winner, while Rangers goaltender Lucas Lorimer stopped all the shots he faced. Oakville's other wins at the tournament came over the Buffalo Regals (5-1), Q Quinte Devils ( (4-0) ) and Phoenix Jr. Coyotes y (7-0). Tanner Elson recorded the shutouts in the wins over Quinte and Phoenix. Jane, born on October 16, 1954, grew up in St. Catharines and has been a long-time resident of Oakville. Jane was the cherished wife of Peter and loving mother of Kristen and Lauren. She is survived by her mother, Doreen Garneau, and her sister Jody (Mark Reynolds and Hayley) of St. Catharines, and predeceased by her father, Roger Garneau. Jane was the anchor of our family and will be sadly missed by all of her aunts and uncles in the Ottawa region, her many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Brydges, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, in her 96th year on Sunday December 18, at Post Inn Village in Oakville where she resided for the past six years. Mary was predeceased by her devoted husband George (1983) and her loving daughter RoseMarie (1990), as well as by four sisters and a brother.
