Oakville improv organization, Bad Dog Theatre Company is doing a repeat performance of its humorous remake of a classic Christmas tale. The group will perform It's A Wonderful Laugh on Sunday, Dec. 18 at the Moonshine Cafe. The show is a humorous take on the 1946 Christmas drama film It's a Wonderful Life, which stars James Freddy Cole Stewart and Donna Reed. The improvised play was created by the Oakville improv team. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $5 at the door. The café is located at 137 Kerr St. Christmas recital Oakville's AK Music Group is hosting its Christmas recital at Appleby College and is inviting the community to come out and listen to its students. The recital will take place on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m. in the Raymond Matthew Reading Room. There will be performances of classical, jazz, Broadway and pop tunes. Refreshments will be served. The event is free but donations are being accepted to cover the cost of the venue. Appleby College is located at 540 Lakeshore Rd. W. Growing up in a musical family, Freddy was influenced by frequent musical guests in his home growing up, including Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Lionel Hampton. Like his three older brothers, Nat, along with Eddie and Ike, Freddy became a musician. He was educated at the Juilliard School of Music in New York and went on to have a musical career with a number of album releases.
