Circus experience propels youths into future "It's just amazing." Participating in Summer Please! also propels him one step closer to his dream of being a Cirque performer. "I've always wanted to be involved in the circus. That's my main goal right now, to be able to one day eventually make it to Cirque, that's what all this tumbling is working towards. "It's the coolest, coolest thing, Cirque du Soleil it's the top of all gymnastics for me, it's taking every top gymnast and performer from like every discipline and putting them into these amazing shows." Upon his return to the sport, his ambitions became even stronger and more focused. The circus school was founded by former Cirque performers Christine Cadeau and Kosta Zakharenko. "People are intrigued. It's so great, because when we were travelling with the circus, it was always positive energy we would get from people," said Cadeau. "When you're cut off from that, you come home, you don't want to get a job where you're sitting in an office. You miss the excitement and positive energy from people. I'm going to see where this takes me as well because I'm performing here with them, not just in the show, but in weddings, corporate events." Summer Please! runs April 13-15 and 20-22 at Zacada's Barton Street location. It is a total modern-day, theatrical circus experience featuring 25 performers within the theme of summer arriving after the winter doldrums.
