Constance passed peacefully in Oakville with her family by her side, in the early morning on May 19, 2012. Dearly beloved wife of the late Laurence Blair. Cherished mother of Gillian, P e t e r, M a l c o l m a n d t h e l a t e Andrew Blair. Adored Grammy to Kristyn, William, Colin, Alexandra and Chloe, and sister to Joan Field of Dundas. Supremely talented artist, m o t h e r, t e a c h e r a n d f r i e n d t o all. Constance led a rich and rewarding life from her early c h i l d h o o d i n To r o n t o , t h r o u g h h e r e d u c a t i o n a t S t . M i l d r e d 's and the Ontario College of Art, to her marriage to Laurie and life in Port Credit. She was a wonderful mother to her 4 children, always there with support and guidance through many trials and triumphs. She m e t l i f e 's c h a l l e n g e s h e a d o n , learning and gaining strength, adapting to be a comfort to all. Her final years spent at Chartwell in Oakville were happy and rewarding ones, where she taught art to fellow residents and led an active, fulfilling life. CONGRATULATI GROSZ, Roy Norman Rev. B.A. B.D. Passed away peacefully on May 17, 2012 after a lengthy illness at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre, Kitchener. He was born May 29, 1920 in Kitchener, Ontario, son of the late Addison J. Grosz and Mabel nee Steinke. Dear husband for 65 years to Elaine nee Oswald; father of Jane of Waterloo, Philip of Kitchener, and Nancy Bergey of Waterloo. Lovingly remembered by granddaughter Leigh (Grant) Lovell; great-grandsons William and Brian; great-granddaughter Elleigh-Jane; extended family member Debbie Gordon and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kenneth and Marian DeCoppel. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Addison and Mabel Grosz; son Robert (1953); brother Ted (1961); his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert (1990) and Doris (1986) Bornhold. Roy Grosz graduated from Waterloo College and Seminary and was ordained in 1946. He served St. Peter's, Kitchener and the Heidelberg-Erbsville parishes. Then he became a mission developer for the next 33 years at Oakville, Burlington and Waterloo. He served on many synodical committees and in many community capacities throughout his ministry. He was the secretary, statistician and necrologist of the Eastern Canada Synod (Eastern Synod) from 1970-1990 and the registrar of its conventions to 2000. He was the editor The Canada Lutheran (synodical magazine) from 1959-1969. He also served on the executive board of the synod from 1954-1959 and was a member of the Board of Governors of Waterloo College and Seminary. He was the author of books on Lutheran Church history. Friends are invited to share their memories of Rev. Grosz with his family during visitation at the ERB & GOOD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, May 20 from 1:30 - 5p.m. The funeral service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 445 Anndale Rd. Waterloo, on Monday, May 21 at 2 p.m. with Bishop William Huras and Rev. James Brown officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Private family interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Kitchener. He was a devoted husband to the late Rosalind (nee Goodisson) and the late Audrey (nee Hollis). He was a loving father to Catherine (Benbow Plewes), the late Jonathan, Michael (Laurie), Sandra (Laurie) and Deirdre (Laurie-Beaumont), and wonderful grandfather to nine grandchildren. Julian served in World War II with the British Army before coming to Canada in 1947. He lived in Montreal where he raised his family, had a career in advertising with the Robert Simpson Company, and was Commanding Officer of the 17th D u k e o f Yo r k R o y a l C a n a d i a n Hussars. Julian and Audrey retired to Kingston, where painting and golf became his passions. His wisdom, wit and his kind, gentle and generous spirit will be missed by his friends and family. His many and varied artistic talents have inspired us all. A memorial service will be held at St Aidan's Anglican Church, 318 Queen Mary Drive, Oakville on Thursday, May 24, at 2:00 pm.
