Under the town's Health Protection Air Quality By-law 2010-035, any proposed facility with a major health-risk air pollutant emission requires that the application be posted for public comment prior to a Town Council meeting to consider the application. The proposed new Oakville Hospital, 3000 Third Line, is deemed to be a proposed major emitter and is in the process of seeking approval from the town. The complete application and related documents are available on the town's website at oakville.ca/environment/hpaq-application.html Consideration of the application is deferred from Community Services Committee on September 11, 2012 and Council on September 17, 2012 to dates to be determined.
