Under the town's Health Protection Air Quality By-law 2010-035, any proposed facility with a major health-risk air pollutant emission requires that the application be posted for public comment prior to a Town Council meeting to consider the application. The proposed new Oakville Hospital, 3000 Third Line, is deemed to be a proposed major emitter and is in the process of seeking approval from the town. The complete application and related documents are available on the town's website at oakville.ca/environment/hpaq-application.html Consideration of the application is deferred from Community Services Committee on September 11, 2012 and Council on September 17, 2012 to dates to be determined. Further notice will be provided upon determination of the meeting dates. Comments received from the public will be presented to Council for their consideration as part of the by-law approval process.
