Anti-human trafficking walk to stop here An anti-human trafficking march -- called the Walk of Freedom -- will stop by Oakville Town Hall tomorrow (Thursday) to raise awareness about this type of criminal activity. The walk, which has been organized by Men Against Sexual Trafficking (MAST) and the London Anti-Human Trafficking Committee (LAHT), began in London on Sept. 6 and is expected to conclude at Toronto's Queen's Park on Saturday. Supporting the awareness walk is Oakville's Shae Invidiata, founder of free-them, a group that also works to fight against human trafficking. Residents who meet with the walk participants at Oakville's Town Hall tomorrow, between 1-2 p.m., can sign a petition the group will present the provincial government. The petition asks for better legislation and more funding to combat human trafficking. 13 · Wednesday, September 12, 2012 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.insideHALTON.com TRUNK SHOW & OPEN HOUSE SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 16 · 11AM TO 3PM BRING THE KIDS!
