Technical director Dino Lopez and coach development manager Rafael Carbajal will oversee the 28-member coaching staff, a group that includes 13 former professional soccer players and 15 former players with international experience. The group also has a combined 250 years of coaching experience. "Following the launch of the professional coaching staff last year, we were able to refine the model and make some changes that align our programs even more closely with the Canadian Soccer Association's longterm development model," said the club's CAO Paul Varian. "We're thrilled to have such a talented group." Coaches have been organized into junior (U8-U10) and senior (U11-12) advanced development programs as well as junior rep (U13-U14) and senior rep (U15-17) development programs. The coaches for the coming season will be: Junior advanced development program: Eddy Berdusco, Michele Houchen, Steven Killeen, Heather McDougall, Igor Prostran, Rocco Rago, Dagoverto Torres. Senior advanced development program: Stephen Armstrong, John Botelho, Nelson Busto, Laurentiu (Larry) Muntean, Karim Nour, Alan Vukobrad, Mark Worton. Boys junior rep development program (with age group): Sinisa Ninkovic (2000), Paul Marques (1999). Boys senior rep development program: Chris Grierson (1998), Darryl Hellam (1997), Ralph Torre (1996). Under 21 and men's: Jimmy Sinclair (1994), Rafael Carbajal (PHSL Elite Senior). Girls junior rep development program: Dani Bernier (2000), Ian McLoughlin (1999). Girls senior rep development program: Ian Sinclair (1998), Karim Riahi (1997). U21 and women's: Cyprian McFarlane (1994), Lawrence Franco (Senior) Goalkeeper coach: John Moreira. "We have made our biggest investment in coach and coach development to date," said Lopez. "We realize that the greatest aid to players' success is the skill, expertise and professionalism of the coaches they interact with throughout their careers."
