That report identified the non-profit organization as one of the top-performing charities in Canada. "Food for Life is very proud and honoured to be chosen as one of the 45 Top Pick charities by Ci -- one of only seven food banks chosen from across Canada," said Sue Carson, Food for Life's manager of community relations. Charity Intelligence Canada (www. charityintelligence.ca) analyzes hundreds of charities across the country every year to create a list of its Top Picks. Charities are chosen by an analysis of its volunteer contributions, fundraising, food waste management, as well as interviews with staff and board members. One of the highlights of the Ci report, said Carson, was the fact that Food for Life has the highest leverage ratio of any food bank surveyed -- the organization turns every dollar donated into $10.77 worth of food. "This is a huge accomplishment for Food for Life and we are thrilled to be among select company as one European Engineering Combined of the highest rated food banks in all With Traditional Workmanship of Canada," she said. "We are especially proud that they (Ci) identified the effectiveness of our fundraising, as we spend only 1.1 per cent of our budget in this area (fundraising)," said Blair "Building on the Richardson, Food for Life board Brightest Ideas Around Glass" chair in a news release.
