There's still time to sign up your family for many of our library spring programs -- from workshops that support teens with communication and leadership skills to kids book clubs, take a look online at what we offer www.opl.ca. Many classes that have already started will be pro-rated and you can register up to half way through the program cycle. It's your opportunity to try something for the first time or get signed up for something you've enjoyed before. Offering quality programs and events is always something we take great pride in. Building on our services for our customers, including digital media, is integral to the library's growth and our strategic vision. This year, customers were introduced to Free- gal, the free music download service that allows our users to browse a collection of more than three million songs from Sony Music covering many genres of music. In February and March, the library ran a competition designed to encourage library cardholders to try the downloadable music service, offer feedback and have the chance to win tickets to see Alicia Keys and Pink in concert. Liisa Rivest is a fan of the Freegal downloadable music service and one of the lucky ticket winners. Try the Freegal music service for yourself at www.opl.ca. -- Submitted by the Oakville Public Library You can now add the following new materials to your Blue Box: Clear plastic "clam shell" containers Black & clear plastic take-out containers Cardboard cans Empty metal paint cans Lids removed Plastic plant pots & trays Single-serve plastic food containers Plastic plates, cups & coffee cup lids No cutlery Auto Body Repair Quick Service Low Prices Visit www.halton.ca/NewinBlue for details ® Halton Region is pleased to launch its new online Waste Collection Calendar Tool at www.halton.ca/wastecalendar. collection day and see what materials are being collected.
