The event will be on Friday, April 26 at the 707 Galaxy Banquet Hall. The firefighters will showcase their dance moves for a chance to secure a page in the upcoming calendar. The guests will get to vote for their favourites. The 2013 calendar has raised $61,000 for local charities. The calendar supports The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, the Oakville Hospital Foundation, the Ian Anderson House Foundation and the Oakville Professional Firefighters Association Sponsorship Fund. The Extreme Heat Alert event helps to offset the costs of producing the calendar, allowing 100 per cent of every calendar sale to be donated to charity.
