STURRUP, Ralph T. Husband, father, grandfather, entrepreneur, inventor, artist. Loyal friend and a one-of-a-kind character. Passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on July 28, 2013 in his 87th year. He lived a good life and was well-loved. Predeceased by his parents, Willis and Lillian, and his sister Mary-Ann. Survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Minna, by sons Tom (Karen) and Peter (Lisa) and by his cherished grandchildren Caleb (Megan), Jacob, Gareth, Brian and Emily. Also survived by his brother Jim (Penny). The family wishes to thank Drs. Zayid and Heffernan, the staff at Trafalgar Personnel, especially Selina, the staffs at Lakeshore Paramedical, Madill Pharmacy and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and their many caring and compassionate friends. Friends may visit at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Wednesday July 31, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held on Thursday August 1, 2013 at 11:00 am at Ward Funeral Home, followed by a reception at the Oakville Club, 56 Water Street, at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Please visit the Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
