This year's theme is intergenerational and intercultural relationships built through the art form of steel pan music and culture. "Steel pan music, addresses diversity and inclusion, is highly social, lots of fun to play and listen to, and easy to learn, all the while creating opportunities for increased social interaction for enthusiasts of all ages. Playing steel pan is all about working together in harmony," stated a news release. "It's great way to experience a Caribbean Christmas." The CCAH steel pan program provides opportunities for youths to seniors, to learn and perform throughout the community at large. "The CCAH annual Christmas concert will help build and involve the Halton community by nurturing a greater understanding and respect for the Caribbean Christmas traditions and Caribbean cultural pride," stated the release. The CCAH steel pan band will play a selection of Christmas carols at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre's (QEPCCC) rehearsal hall, 2302 Bridge Rd., from 1-3 p.m. Tickets cost $5 at the door.
