Mother of Eva Malloy, Alexa DeWiel (Kathy Vance), Monica Andrews (Tim), grandmother to Trevor, Erin Cotnam (Colin) Taylor and Carly, great- grandmother to Molly and Charlie. Pre-deceased by her husband Heinz and son-in-law Rodney. Ilse and Heinz immigrated to Canada in 1954 from Germany and made a happy life in Oakville. She enjoyed working at the Ford Motor Company for over twenty years. She became a 25 year volunteer with the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, taught T'ai Chi, gardened avidly, practised fine needle work and knitting, and after Heinz's death in 1986, continued travelling the world extensively. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kris Martiniuk and the wonderful staff at Ian Anderson House hospice. Visitation will take place at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, on Friday December 6th, from 1-3 PM. Nov. 20th in her 10th year. Zoë was the beloved daughter of Dana MacLean and Adam Slayer and beloved big sister to Milo. She was a joy and inspiration to all who were fortunate to know and love her. She will be forever missed by her grandparents, Ralph and Karen Slayer, Jane MacLean and Lachlan MacLean, her aunts Linda Slayer (Mike Kirch), Kate Bentley (Ian), uncle Cam MacLean (Anneke), her cousin Charlie Bentley and her great-grandparents Lloyd and Betty Slayer. Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife Marion of 59 years.
