MS is a chronic, often disabling neurological disease, of which Canada has the highest rate of in the world, according to a press release by the MS Society of Canada. On Sunday, May 4, the Oakville MS Walk will take place at the Central West Specialized Development Services (CWSDS) Building, 53 Bond St. The town will join 57 locations across the province in hosting the event, which fundraises for ground-breaking, Canadian-led research and support services and programs that allow those affected by MS to live better with the disease until a cure is found. The Mandarin MS Walk also features a wheelchair accessible route supporting participants who use mobility aids. Early check-in is on Saturday, May 3 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the CWSDS building.
