Born in 1951, Michael is the son of Patricia Lambert of Brockville, ON and the late Dr. Edward (Ted) Lambert, who practiced medicine in Morrisburg, ON for many years; and the grandson of the late Dr. George Moodie and his wife Gracie (Bradley), who practiced medicine in Wales, ON, one of the "Lost Villages". He is the brother of Mary Catherine "Casey" Rice and her husband Dr. Marcus Rice of Norfolk, VA and the late Patricia Blennerhassett, a former researcher at McMaster University, Hamilton, ON. Also surviving are Teddy and Sarah Rice and their children of Jamaica Plain, Mass., Elizabeth and Jason Giffen and their children of Winnetka, IL, Patrick Rice of Washington and Robert and Thomas Blennerhassett attending McMaster University. Michael attended Morrisburg Public School, Appleby College in Oakville, ON where he went to St. Jude's Anglican Church each Sunday, Vanguard School in Lake Wales, FL and Haverford, PA and the Sears Hospitality program in Rochester, NY. He was an employee of the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital for many years. Each summer he was a well known figure on the St. Lawrence River camping and fishing and a volunteer at the Mallorytown Landing Park. A private family funeral is planned for later in the summer with interment in the family plot in St. Jude's Cemetery, Oakville, ON. Survived by his loving wife Marilyn, in their 51st year of marriage. Doug, beloved son of Adolph Von Zuben and Irene (nee Stinson). Brother of Kenneth Von Zuben, his late wife Janet (nee Strait), and his companion Joan Hango. Doug was a former executive of the Prime Timers Association of Toronto, and a retiree of Elections Ontario. Doug enjoyed fine wine, had a unique flair for fashion, was an avid bridge player, and had a distinguished culinary pallet. He will be greatly missed by both his family and friends. At Doug's request, cremation has taken place and an interment will follow. He will be laid to rest with his family at Mount Hope Cemetery in Toronto at a date to be announced.
