Annual OAKPEX this Saturday at S t Paul's The Oakville Stamp Club will hold its annual show, OAKPEX 2002, on Saturday March 9 at St Paul's United Church. The show will be open from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.. and St. Paul's United Church is at 454 Rebecca St. Parking is free. The Oakville Stamp Club was founded in the 1960s by a small group of people meeting in a basement. The club's first president, Dan Hazard, and subsequent presidents, helped the club grow steadily throughout the 1970s and into the 1980s. By this time, the club had grown to over 100 members, and in 1983, it was able to host The Royal Philatelic Society's 55th Annual Convention in the Galaxy Club, where over 2,000 peo ple viewed the national exhibits. Since that time, many changes have taken place, and today, although a much smaller group, the club is looking for new members to take it forward in this new century, and to become a more vibrant part of the increasingly growing philatelic community. The Oakville Stamp Club meets every second and fourth Tuesday (Septem ber to June) at St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School, at Rebecca Street and Dorval Drive, at 6 p.m. For information, write the club at P.O. Box 69643, Oakville, ON, L6J 7R4, or call the club secretary at 905845-5344. WE'VE RELOCATED! BESIDE GOLDEIM GRIDDLE INFORMATION OFFER · NO OBLIGATION C u r io u s a b o u t C re m a tio n ?
