She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Douglas, and her devoted children Colin (Sandra) and Marlene McGowan (Ian). Sadly missed by her sister Audrey and husband James Black, along with six other sisters in the United Kingdom. The family would like to express their great appreciation to Dr. Robert Gabriel for his exceptional care and concern over the years, and in particular, over her final months. Special thanks are also extended to the wonderful staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn St., Oakville, on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m..
