Obituaries /l Milestones Lifetimes / Milestones l Lifetimes MICHAEL (Mike) WILLIAM LEE On Wednesday July 30th, 2014, I lost my `BRITISH LUV` to cancer. Knowing our time together was short, the last few months became one of the best quality times of our 38 years together. We were not going to let cancer take that too. Kristie (Dave), Ryan (Leeann), Stephen and Lynda have lost the best father ever. Grandpa to Zachary, Gauge, Makenna, Rachel and Shae-Lynn; his gentle but firm hugs will be remembered always. A truly loving family man who worked hard all his life to give his kids a good solid base and us the wonderful life we had together: travelling back to Britain with the family, holidays in the Bahamas, Jamaica and Florida, 15 years boating on Georgian Bay where we made so many true and lifelong friends and 5 years in our motorhomes before settling for a wonderful cozy spot in Wasaga Beach, the last 7 years enjoying retirement to its fullest. One of our best memories was the purchase of our modular home in Nokomis, Florida, which we made uniquely ours and where we made so many friends both Canadian and American. We could not have asked for anything more except maybe just one more sunny day together walking hand in hand on the beach looking for the perfect shell. At Mike's request, there will be no service but a Celebration of his Life later this year at our home in Florida, where a Bismark Palm has been planted in his honour. For both Mike and I, please take the time to do a random act of kindness to continue his memory on and on like the ripples on the water we both loved to be near. You were once a body with a spirit and now you are a spirit without the burdens of a body. Fly free and soar to the heavens. I am waiting for my butterfly kisses to know you have arrived and tell my Mom the inner strength she taught me will see me through this terribly lonely journey until I see you both again. Sleep tight MY LUV, we will keep you alive in our hearts and your name will be on our lips always. Love you forever, Linda xxx/ooo On behalf of our family, we would like to ask that any donations in Mike's name be forwarded to Acclaim Health 2370 Speers Rd, Oakville, Ontario L6L 5M2 for the care and comfort given to both Mike and I with their daily nursing visits. Jericho was our angel and we always felt safer when he arrived at our door. Also to Ian Anderson House, 430 Winston Churchill Blvd., Oakville, Ontario where Mike's last days were spent embraced in quiet dignity and respect for who he is, a valuable human being. (DEATH/GRIEF OF A LOVED ONE) And once the storm is over you won`t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't ever be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what the storm is all about.
