M · E ! for Halton Region Museum The Halton Museum Foundation, in association with AM740 Prime Time Radio, is hosting the return of Hearthside Dinner and Music Series for 2003. The air of romance will take over the Halton Region Museum on Saturday, as perennial favourite George Grosman and Swing Noir, play a mix of 1920s and 1930s jazz and ethnic swing music with a sprinkling of East European musi cal stylings. Between them, the members have amassed an impressive resume, appearing at many jazz festivals, clubs and concerts in Canada as well as the U.S. and overseas. The museum's unique atmosphere, complete with roaring fire, food and live jazz makes this an excellent setting for the event. Now in it's fifth year, this series is one of a number of initiatives that the foun dation has established to assist with the ongoing renovations and artifact preser vation at the museum located in Kelso Conservation Area (also known as the Glen Eden Ski Area) in Milton. The fundraising event includes a buffet-style dinner at 7 p.m., followed by the evening's entertainment until 11:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Cost is $35 per per son - advance ticket sales only. A cash bar will be available. Call 905-875 2200 ext. 0 to reserve. For further info visit www.region.halton.on.ca/museum.
