Hill, a 24-year Oakville resident, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in November 2011 and was told it was stable, but its growth needed to be monitored every six months. In November of last year, doctors told her the tumour had reached Anaplastic Astrocytoma stage 3, which meant cancer. Hill went in for surgery at Toronto Western Hospital and received further care at Princess Margaret Hospital. Proceeds from the Aug. 17 Softballin' for Liz event, which totalled $4,000, will help boost Patrick and Mike's road hockey team's contribution to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Their team is set to compete in the Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer Tournament in Toronto on Sept. 27. | photos by Franki Ikeman Oakville Beaver (Follow on Twitter @halton_photog or facebook.com/HaltonPhotog) Above, Patrick Channing plays in the out-field during Softballin' for Liz, a fundraising softball tournament held in honour of his girlfriend Elizabeth Hill.
