Ten of these students are 2002 high school graduates and two are post-secondary stu dents receiving financial support from the May Court Club of Oakville. The deserving students are Veronica Addley and Jenni-Lee Schmidt from St. Thomas Aquinas; Cole Lepine from T. A. Blakelock; Stacey Biggar ·from Iroquois Ridge; Jasmina Gustin from St. * Ignatius of Loyola; Melissa Khedar and Erin *. Maloney from Oakville Trafalgar; Jessica ' Fitzpatrick from Queen Elizabeth Park; Kristen Ferrone and Allison Merz from White Oaks. The two university students receiving ongoing assis tance are Noah Bruce, Wilfrid Laurier, and Nicole Tuzi, Queen's. May Court is the oldest service club in Canada run by women. This club has been awarding edu cational scholarships to students demonstrating a commitment to their school and community for more than 30 years. The May Court Club raises and disperses funds primarily within Oakville. This service club sup ports many local causes that benefit the elderly, the sick, young children, students, and the needy. The main source of funds for this club is The Nearly New Shop located at 200 Kerr St. At this location, funds are raised through the sale of consignment items. May Court volunteers can be seen in November and December at Oakville Place presenting the Annual Festival of Trees and for the past five years have held a craft fair called Art and Artisans by the Lake on the grounds of Appleby College.
