CORRIGAN, Ruth Ruth passed away peacefully at her home in Oakville on Friday, May 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on July 22, 1937 in Scotland. She bravely moved to Canada in 1974 with her husband Ray and three girls in order to give her children a better life. Ruth was a devoted wife to Raymond for 56 years, an exceptional Mum to Jane (Ron) Milford, Sandra (Dave) Cox and Lorraine (Paul) Welsby and the world's best Granny to Allison and Andrew Cox, Matthew Milford and Daniel and Ian Welsby. Mum truly was the heart and soul of our family, her sense of humour and words of wisdom will stay with us always. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Denby for his care and support for over 20 years. Thank you to Dr. Salim, Dr. Sourovtseva, Dr. Kirby, Yolanda and the wonderful nurses at OTMH for taking care of Ruth during her recent stay in hospital. Many thanks to CCAC and the nurses from Acclaim Health, especially Yvonne for providing exceptional palliative care at home. As per Ruth's wish, there will not be a funeral and her family will gather privately to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations to be made to Ian Anderson House. Condolences through www.koprivataylor.com.
