That was the m essage sent M onday by voters in Halton in selecting incum bent Joyce Savoline to her fourth straight term as regional chair. The veteran politician, a Burlington resident, earned 62 per cent o f M onday's votes and will maintain the title for anoth er three years. Savoline's 41,800 total easily beat out second-place finisher Brian Burton o f O akville who captured 12,555 votes. Neither Burlington's Anne M arsden nor Robert Heaton o f Halton Hills factored into the race. M arsden picked up 7,919 votes, while Heaton collected 4.660. Savoline said voters can expect her to continue to advo cate for good governance, espe cially in areas like developm ent and environm ental protection.
