Family hopes to find Kobe as cold weather continues continued from p.9 The couple and their three children, who have lived in Oakville for 29 years, said earlier this week that they are "devastated" by Kobe's disappearance. Helped along by friends, around 120 posters have been distributed around Glen Abbey. The family has also contacted the Oakville and Milton Humane Society, Oakville Transit and Oakville Taxi in the hopes that someone might have spotted Kobe. A few more have reached out to the Savelsons since reading the story about the canine's disappearance in the Beaver. Kobe's last known whereabouts was on Boxing Day on Monks Passage, only a few blocks from where he had been staying on Thistledown Road, near Upper Middle and Dorval Drive, Kobe is not microchipped, but has a collar with his name on it. "He'll probably be very nervous," Francine said, noting that because of his age the dog also doesn't hear well. "Please, check your sheds, garages, and under decks for Kobe," she said. If anyone spots him they are asked to call Bob at 416-200-1423. The family is also offering a reward once Kobe is found. 19 | Friday, January 9, 2015 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com Expert to speak about diabetes at Cdn.
