The annual campaign provides customers and employees the opportunity to directly support organizations that make a difference in women's lives. Its goal is to connect women to information and resources in their community so they can receive the support they need. Shoppers chose SAVIS of Halton as this year's recipient of the donated funds. SAVIS of Halton is a not-for-profit agency that incorporates a feminist-based, anti-oppressive/anti-racist framework to serve survivors of violence in Halton Region. It provides free and confidential services to women, men and the trans-identified community. Services include: one-to-one counselling, 24/7 crisis line and outreach and public education programs to advocate against violence in the community at large. SAVIS's goal is to promote prevention through community education and advocacy. | photo by Jayson Mills special to the Beaver Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?
