The Seniors Working Action Group (SWAG) is hosting a series of three nancial events for seniors in collaboration with the Canadian Bankers Association and the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada. The free events will be held on three successive Thursdays starting March 12. The rst session will tackle the topic of Cash Management for Seniors. It will focus on understanding how needs change over time, dealing with debt and expecting the unexpected. The events will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Park Recreations and Culture Centre, 2302 Bridge Rd., in the older adult room. The second session, Seniors Financial Abuse, will be held March 19. The nal session, scheduled for March 26, is Seniors Fraud Protection. It will teach participants how scammers target your money through bank accounts, credit cards or investment accounts, ways to prevent fraud and how to get help if you are a victim. The events are an hour long each and begin at 11:30 a.m. SWAG will provide tea, coffee, water and cookies, but participants are asked to bring their own lunch. Seating is limited. Anyone interested in attending is asked to register by calling 905-8456601, ext. 4673. If you have spent your working life in noisy areas, you may be eligible for full coverage.
