While that is the equivalent of turning off about 60,000 60-watt light bulbs, it does represent the smallest Earth Hour contribution Oakville has made since the town began participating in 2008. In 2014, Oakville succeeded in dropping its energy consumption by 5.3 per cent, the equivalent of turning off about 160,000 60-watt light bulbs, according to Oakville Hydro. see Earth on p.14 appleby college caMpS S June 22-August 28, 2015 diScovery caMpS (ageS 4-7) SportS & adventure caMpS (ageS 7-15) artS & Media caMpS (ageS 7-15) Science & SucceSS caMpS (ageS 7-15) eSt.1990 yearS Celebrating 25 years of summer fun!
