Training began May 9-10 in the college's parking lot and will continue every weekend until Oct. 31. The Canadian Safety Council Motorcycle Training program is being run by the Motorcycle Training Organization of Halton/Peel (MTOhp). "So a group of former instructors banded together, formed MTOhp and bought all of the motorcycle assets from Sheridan." The organization has rented parking lot space at Sheridan's Trafalgar campus. "This allows us to offer the same training course previously offered by Sheridan," Copeland said. The two-day course offers full "on bike" training on a variety of motorcycles all provided by MTOhp. Motorcycle licence examination and upgrading to M2 is included in every weekend course at the end of each Sunday. Helmets are also supplied if a student doesn't have one. Larviciding in standing water Larviciding of standing water may occur anytime from May 19 to October 31, 2015 once monitoring indicates that mosquito larvae are present. The Halton Region Health Department will apply larvicide to standing water sites under the direction of the Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Hamidah Meghani. The biological larvicide VectoBac 200G (PCP# 18158, granular) or VectoBac 1200L (PCP# 21062, liquid) will be placed in affected standing water on public lands in urban areas in The City of Burlington, The Town of Halton Hills, The Town of Milton and the Town of Oakville.
