Beloved husband of Audrey, for 71 years. Loving father of Donald (Nancy), Robert (Janice), James (Yvonne). Cherished grandfather to David (Tina), Scott (Cheryl), Timothy (Stephanie), Michael (Faith), Kevin, and Melissa. Great grandfather to Alexandra, Sarah, and Chase. Eric served as a pilot in WWII. He had a long association with Standard Life, having been branch manager in Saint John, Calgary, and Toronto. Eric was actively engaged with Life Underwriters, and Life Managers. He was a tireless worker with Kinsmen, and belonged to Oakville Probus. Eric was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hockey. He lived for many years in Ennisclare on the Lake community in Oakville. Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Ward Chapel on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception. There will be a private interment. Thank you to the Linden Avenue staff at Post Inn Village for their wonderful care of Eric. Predeceased by her husband, Jack (1967). Dear mother of Irene (Leo) Puzinas of Burlington and proud grandmother of Sandra (Darren) Owens of Oakville, and Ian Puzinas of Hamilton. Cherished sister and best friend of Irene Syme of Burlington. Ray loved nothing better than working in her garden and had a life-long love of animals and the outdoors. Joan passed away peacefully with her two surviving sons at her side in Port Moody, B.C. Born August 11, 1933, in Belleville, Ontario. Joan is predeceased by her parents Fred and Theresa Stewart and her oldest son Daniel Ross (Darlene). She is survived by her sons David and Douglas and grandchildren, Kyle and Leah and many good friends in Kingston, ON, Oakville, ON and Abbotsford, B.C. Joan loved the finer things in life and was the classic homemaker. She had many hobbies including antiques, cooking, flowers, art, music and her cats! Joan loved to entertain in her home and in her younger years she was often the "life of the party". The family is grateful to the staff of Cartier House and Eagle Ridge Manor for taking care of Joan in her final years.
