CIBC, the Lead Partner for the upcoming Pan Am/ Para Pan Am Games and a community partner of the Torch Relay, selected Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital to fill its Oakville torchbearer spot. Soapy Soanes Award. This award was established in recognition of the first Chief of Staff and longstanding member of the Department of Family Medicine at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). It is awarded to a family physician at OTMH who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the Hospital and community in the areas of (L to R): Dr. Robert Annis, Dr. James Kovacs clinical practices, community health, hospital and Wendy Soanes programs, continuing medical education and community involvement. Halton Healthcare would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Annis on this achievement. The John Oliver Leadership Award was established in 2014 to honour former President and CEO, John Oliver, on his retirement from Halton Healthcare. During his 23 years of service, John provided exceptional strategic leadership over some of the most challenging and rewarding time in the histories of our hospitals. The annual award recognizes employees who have demonstrated the leadership traits that Eileen Gagne were exemplified by John during his tenure at Halton Healthcare. This was the first year that the John Oliver Leadership Award was presented. The award recipient was Eileen Gagne, Charge Respiratory Therapist, Halton Healthcare.
