The Town of Oakville has completed the Tannery and Waterworks Parks Shoreline Improvements Class Environmental Assessment and the study report is now available for public review for 30 days. The shoreline along Tannery and Waterworks Parks, between Sixteen Mile Creek and Kerr Street south of Walker Street, is in poor condition. The study was undertaken to develop shoreline improvements that stabilize and rehabilitate Tannery and Waterworks Parks shoreline and meet the objectives of the Oakville Harbour West Shore Master Plan for improved park function and connectivity. The overall preferred concepts for the shoreline improvements at Tannery Park and Waterworks Park are presented in the final environmental study report. The study was completed in accordance with the requirements of a Schedule C project as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Municipal Class EA document (October 2000, as amended in 2007 and 2011), which is an approved process under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
