Food drive brought in the goods More than 500 volunteers from more than 15 faith communities, the 1st Trafalgar Venturers and Sheridan College Student Union braved wet weather in June as they collected and sorted food donations at Sheridan College's parking lot -- but it was worth it. Approximately 24,746 pounds of food was collected this year, with help from Food for Life, bringing the seven-year total to 110,993 lbs. donated to local food banks.
