She had been suffering from a progressive illness that took from her the ability to walk, to speak and to swallow. Angela was born in Sidmouth, England, to Alex and Eileen Halse. The family emigrated to Ottawa where Angela grew up with three older brothers. At age 10 she was diagnosed with a brain tumour shortly after the family moved to Nova Scotia. Although healed she had further struggles with cancer and disability in adult life. A graduate of Acadia University she taught in Northern Manitoba, southern Chile and New Brunswick. She also studied Mission at Trinity College Bristol, England and at the Ontario Theological Seminary where she earned her Masters. Angela is survived by her mother, Eileen, and brothers, Godfrey and William. They want to express their gratitude to Post Inn Village staff and residents for the love, care and support given to Angela throughout her illness. Heartfelt thanks also to faithful Christian friends who have been such a good family to Angela and who have prayed for her, visited her and helped her through difficult years. Thanksgiving services for Angela have been held in Oakville at Chartwell Baptist Church and at Post Inn Village chapel. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, gifts in Angela's memory be given to Kerr Street Ministries, Oakville. l Obituaries Sunday August 16, 2pm-3:30pm 4280 Harvester Rd.
