The bonus performance in Towne Square Sunday (Aug. 9) will be from noon to 3 p.m. and feature the Mississauga Swing Band. One of the highlights for this year's music festival is a presentation of Tito Puente's hits by teen musicians in the Merriam Music Orchestra, who will play with six-time Grammy winner Mitch Frohman. The award-winning saxophonist and flautist worked with 23 young musicians from Merriam this week to teach them the music of Puente, culminating in a concert at the TD Towne Square stage Saturday at 8 p.m. "He's such a legend and it's a neat opportunity for those kids in music... to be instructed and tutored by him throughout the whole week," said Plewman. Other performance highlights this year include shows by: 16-year-old Quinn Sullivan; Juno Awardnominated LeE HARVey OsMOND; trumpeter Bria Skonberg; and Coldjack, Lily Frost, The Bros.
