Halton R egion' s Business Development Centre's new video Halton: A Community that Works shows why so many businesses have decided that Halton is an ideal place to locate and grow. Location, transportation links, quality of Ufe, educated workforce are certainly factors in the amazing growth in the number of new businesses in Halton, but they don't tell the whole story. The video notes that it's the support that is offered to businesses in Halton by the Halton Business Development Partnership that gives Halton its competitive edge. This partnership of Chambers of Commerce, local business development offices, and the Province of Ontario, work together to create an atmosphere that welcomes business. Several local business people are interviewed and quoted in the video to tell their personal stories. "It's a great community - it's a great community in which to work, but even more so it's a great community in which to love. It's safe, it's clean, there's tremendous resources for the families of our workers, and it's just an excellent place in which to do business," says Norm Stewart, Vice President of Government Relations and General Counsel for Ford Motor Company of Canada. The video can be viewed on the Halton Region Business Development website, www.haltonbusiness.com, or to obtain a free copy of the video, contact the Business Development Centre at 905-825-6300.
