Michael Williams, former MuchMusic host, music producer, journalist, musician and media personality, is the curator and presenter of the music series, dubbed Sunday Nights with Michael Williams @ El Salon. The opening show on Nov. 22 will feature an all-Canadian double bill with Gord Deppe of The Spoons and Lost and Profound. As a singer, songwriter and guitar player for Canadian band The Spoons, Deppe has been in the music business for more than 30 years. His recently released, best-selling autobiography, SpoonFed, tells the story of his life, The Spoons and how the two still intertwine today. Lost and Profound is a Canadian folk rock band that originated in the early 1990s and was first signed to international record company Polygram. Its single, Brand New Set of Lies, earned the band a Juno nomination in 1993. Its new album, Goodbye Mine, brings a return to the group's signature melancholy-infused pop rock. Tickets for the shows cost $10 each.
