In fact, he cites the camaraderie in the group as one of the reasons he has stayed so long. He has even convinced one of his peers to join the chorus as well. Now, eight years after that first rehearsal, Travis is director of the cho rus and singing lead in two barbershop quartets - Stop the Clock and Jugger naut. "We compete regularly," he says of both foursomes. His love for barbershop harmony began with that first rehearsal, he says. "I really, really like how the chords work.
