During the Christmas season the Salvation Army helps hundreds of families with toys and food to make the holidays a special time. The location where this initiative operated, however, can no longer accommodate its needs. As a result, Howlett says they are in "dire need" of a new warehouse of at least 10,000 sq. ft. on a bus route. If someone could donate the space until January, Howlett explained, the Salvation Army would issue them a tax receipt for the market rate. Ideally, the warehouse would feature freezer space so that instead of simply passing out food vouchers at Christmas, staff could prepare ham pers which included turkeys and all the trimmings for families in need. "We'd be thrilled with that," Howlett said. In addition to money to top up its bank account, Howlett said residents can also con tribute non-perishable food items, such as canned meats, pasta sauce and formula which are always in short supply. The Salvation Army's Oakville Community Church is located at 1225 Rebecca St. For more information or to donate, please call Howlett at 827-5324 ext. 22. *24,910 *24,995 2 0 0 0 FOCUS ZX3 Stk #A 0824 1 9 9 8 GRAND MARQUIS Stk # l L088A 1998 PATHFINDER SE 4X4 Stk #1S268A Yellow Pages Directories 1 9 9 9 MUSTANG COUPE 1999 RANGERS/C XLT 4X4 Stk # !S 3 l3 A Stk # 1 1 9 5 * 20,000 2000 EXPLORER XLT 4X4 Stk # 1 S391A '25,980 (/w w t W cun/ l tk b rv J jte fr. )lfDAK~LAND I FOP© LINCOLN 570 Trafalgar Rd., Oakville a t th e a tw . * * * www.oQk-land.com 905- 844-3273 HALTON REGION N O TIC E O F P U B LIC IN FO R M A TIO N C E N TR E No. 2 B ronte R oad (R egional Road 25) Im p ro vem ents C lass E nvironm ental A ssessm en t Study rhe Regional Municipality of Halton has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment to study transportation capacity issues in the Bronte Road Corridor from the Queen Elizabeth W ay to Highway 407.
