S P R I N G S H O W S 21 | Friday, March 25, 2016 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com Artists' Information Session for Oakville's Lake Walk event March 29 You wouldn't think it with the wintery storm that hit Oakville yesterday (Thursday), but spring is here and that means the return of Oakville's Lake Walk in Bronte Village. Artists planning on participating in this year's event will want to attend the workshop and information session planned for Tuesday, March 29 at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, 2302 Bridge Rd. Lake Walk in Bronte Village is put on in partnership by the Oakville Arts Council, Bronte Business Improvement Area (BIA) and Trias Gallery and held on the first Thursday of every month adjacent to Bronte Harbour. This year, the Lake Walk kicks off May 5. Held in Oakville for the first time last year and inspired by Hamilton's Art Crawl, the event features an evening of art, food, music and culture, as well as special promotions and activities from the participating Brontearea businesses. The information session runs from 6-8 p.m. and registration is available online at www.oakvillearts.com/event-2196951. It will give artists or businesses interested in participating this year an opportunity to get tools and tips from the Halton Region Small Business Centre on "developing your art-focused business including: business structures, registration, regulations, licensing, taxes and marketing ideas," stated a media release. For more information on the Lake Walk, visit brontevillage.ent/lake-walk or follow the social media conversation on Twitter with the hashtag #TheLakeWalk.
